Goodbye my beauty...

By 2016 I had been the owner of at least one X1/9 for 38 constitutive years and of this beautiful red and gray car for 17 years. The opportunity to buy a nice 2002 Boxster S gave me pause to think about what I wanted in a hobby car. After giving this considerable cogitation I came to the conclusion that I'd solved most of the X's mysteries, completed it's fun diy upgrades, and most importantly was just not driving the X as often as I once did. Time to move on to a new project.

X1/9

It isn't practical for me to have multiple hobby cars so I needed to sell the X after I bought the Boxster.. It was important to me that it go to a good home so I only advertised it on X-Web, figuring that only a X-head that would appreciate the car would find it there. I included this photo gallery to show off the car's condition and some of the other stuff included in the sale as part of my ad.

Richard bought the X and had it shipped to his home in New Jersey. Even after owning the X for all those years selling it turned out to be a positive experience and I'm confident that it is in good hands. This is a photo of it arriving at it's new home.

X1/9

I've enjoyed my time as a X1/9 owner and have lots of great memories from all the way back when I bought my first X until the sale of my last.

My mom took this photo of me and my cute girlfriend Su in 1979. She said she wanted a snap of me and my two loves.

Our son Ben took this photo of Su and me shortly before we sold the Bertone.
